Frank Lloyd Wright®
Taliesin 1
Floor Lamp

Frank Lloyd Wright originally designed the wooden table lamp for the interior of his own home, Taliesin, built in Spring Green, Wisconsin in 1911. Engaged in a solid base, the shaft of the lamp supports a square shade in a design that evokes the sheltering roof of a pagoda, one of the architect's signature tectonic forms. Wright became so fond of the lamp that he specified it repeatedly for use in the homes of his later clients, and in 1955, the table lamp was reconfigured as a floor lamp for the Donald Loveness House in Stillwater, Minnesota. Gracefully reproportioned here, the lamp now stands at 49 inches in height. Its soft, diffused light renders it suitable as a reading lamp in a living room or side lamp in a corporate office. Height: 49" x Width: 15" x Depth: 16 15/16". Weight: 7.5 lb. Lamp: One 60W bulb. Material: Cherry base. Shade: Cherry with acrylic laminate Washi paper inserts. This lamp ships with our flat rate UPS Ground shipping charge of only $9.95. This Frank Lloyd Wright Collection lamp can be purchased only for shipment within the continental United States.
